This was a nice short story. It wasn’t anything special but it does fill a gap. Almost like a plaster: it’s functional, you’re glad to have it, but you look at it as little as possible.
The only things I have to say about
this story are negative points (or at the very least, pushing the bounds of
neutrality). Not because there were only negative points but because they’re
the only things that warrant discussion.
Link kelts
(speaks with his mind) and it says he’s being doing this since he became a
quarter incubus. The thing is, he doesn’t kelt (and nor does it mention him
kelting) in Beautiful Chaos or Beautiful Redemption.
Twice,
speech marks are used instead of an apostrophe of abbreviation. It was ‘ “cause
‘ instead of ‘ ‘cause’ and ‘ settin” ‘ instead of ‘ settin’ ‘.
As a
group, they talk about what they have learned in two years. Yet we only ever
see Lena’s 16th birthday and her (early) 17th birthday.
No other birthdays were mentioned or spoken about in the series.
