Firstly,
world-renowned actor Jeremy Irons is to be the (very first) Chancellor of my
university: Bath Spa.
The
past two years, I have been the Chancellor of a society (a made up role just for
the fun of it). Bath Spa University itself lacked a chancellor, so as I was the
only chancellor of Bath Spa, I was *the* Chancellor of Bath Spa. Only by semantics
and (somewhat questionable) logic, admittedly, but it made me happy
nonetheless.
But
now we have Jeremy Irons. The one who played Scar in the Lion King (my second favourite character after Rafiki) and was the only reason the adaptation of Eragon into a film was credible at all. I am beyond excited for this!
